Robert Penick, proud owner of B&C Soul Food Catering LLC. Founded in 2017, the goal of his business is to ensure each client receives professional, friendly and courteous service while enjoying incredibly delicious food. For many years he pondered the thought of branching out to start his own catering business. Finally, in 2015 the decision was made to leave his job as a professional barber to start this new venture. He spent many weeks and months preparing and doing research, which resulted in the birth of B&C Soul Food Catering LLC.
Since the birth of this business, Robert has created his own homemade honey sweet bbq and firecracker sauces. Each sauce has its own unique taste which has been sampled and sold to many people across the country. Due to the success of these amazing sauces, Robert has been given the name “the sauce boss”. B&C Soul Food Catering’s sauces go great on so many foods. These sauces can be purchased through the online store. The website is www.bcsoulfoodcatering.com.
Robert suffered a temporary setback due to having spine fusion surgery in March of 2016. As a result, he gained excessive weight and suffered with high blood pressure and borderline diabetes. After being put on various medications while under Dr’s care, Robert decided to change his entire eating regime including refraining from meats. Since becoming a vegetarian and adding diet and exercise, he has lost over 60 lbs and is no longer taking medications. Robert decided to share this success by creating vegetarian dishes such as vegetable chili, fried bbq tuna and other dishes so clients that don’t eat meat can enjoy this same delicious flavor. Because B&C Soul Food Catering LLC has such a diverse client base, we also offer a variety of delicious meats and sides such as chicken, meatloaf, fish, ribs, oxtails, turkey wings, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and so much more. The results and feedback from the clients have been very positive.
Robert contributes his success to God first and to the love and support of his beautiful wife Christine. She has been by his side through all of the ups and downs that go along with starting a new business. Not only is she his wife but also his number one cheerleader and main food critic.
